Familiar with at least one MIL-STD workmanship requirement (454, 2000) or IPC-610. Knowledge of tin-lead alloys, solderable platings, leach life, fluxes, wetting, cleaning, solder dynamics and solderability. Candidates will be carefully GRILLED in each of these areas, so be prepared. Must have STELLAR communication skills, written and oral. Must be able to solder under a microscope (10X). Most qualified candidates have lumped-element assembly experience. B.S. Engineering or other Science discipline REQUIRED. Microwave experience is desirable.

Experienced RF / Microwave Electronics Technicians for our Tune/Test department. Experience with tuning, testing and proto-typing of lumped element, ceramic and cavity filters highly necessary. Two years experience and AA/technical degree required.

Inspect all materials received from external/internal vendors. Verify that they meet blueprints and specification charts. Follow established procedures for materials inspection including maintenance of tracking logs, attaching identification data to inspected materials and completing relevant documentation and MRP input to reflect results of inspections.

POSITION/REQUIREMENTS: Electronics Technician. Analog/digital at component level. Troubleshoot using oscilloscope. Requires HAM RADIO license (General Class or higher) or an AA degree (electronics). Will also accept General Radiotelephone Certificate or old FCC 1st or 2cd Class Radiotelephone Certificate (expired is OK). MARS operation certificates or military electronics training will NOT be considered.

Activities: Troubleshoot and repair radio tracking devices and systems. Knowledge of digital circuits (logic gates, timers, switches, serial ports) at the component level. Knowledge of analog circuits (linear power regulators, EMI bypass schemes, simple RF circuits, simple antennas). Ability to use schematics to determine proper signal levels/presence, and ability to use oscilloscope to verify that the circuit works. Knowledge of RS-232 interface characteristics (levels, null modem, pinouts etc). The successful applicant will be able to interpret the schematic correctly and discuss it during the interview in binary and voltage terms, and will have good computer and soldering skills. Candidates must know how to use Windows 98/2000. Excellent communication skills are required (written and oral). Knowledge of basic construction techniques like soldering, heat-shrink, and SMT is a big PLUS.
